Erica Stella is a street art photographer, Editor of Sold Magazine, and home organizer, originally from Binghamton, NY. Her childhood was immersed in ballet training, stage performance, modern dance and the study of movement through space. She also learned about film photography, processing, developing and printing; preceding the digital age.
After moving to NYC, she received her BFA from Marymount Manhattan College in 2000. She then spent the next 14 years in NFP management, administering award programs in science for the Alfred P. Sloan and Ellison Medical Foundations. Around 2010, she turned her passionate support to a new angle; documenting artists on the streets & telling their stories. Her photography today reflects female empowerment, social commentary, humor, and her love for hip-hop. She has exhibited in various group shows in NYC, and curated 3 public murals throughout New York State. With a background in composition of space, a traditional photography upbringing, and instinct to bring joy to life - she brings that energy to every project. |
